Fine professional-grade
Sound Equipment

A DJ Company’s equipment dictates the quality and reliability of their sound and is therefore indicative of their level of professionalism.  Peak Entertainment uses only top quality, professional grade gear.  You won't find any of these items at a home stereo store.

We also have a complete backup system on-site at every Peak DJ event to protect your reception against any unexpected problems.  Ask our competitors if they do the same.

Professional Sound ~ Clean, Unobtrusive Appearance
4 Denon Professional CD / Media Players with digital memory to prevent skipping (essential for bouncy wooden floors in country inns).  Denon CD players offer premium sound and allow a CD .wav file to be manipulated just like a vinyl record (pitch bend, brake, scratch) while offering all the digital options demanded by today's DJs, such as looping, sampling, flanging and filtering.  I-pods and laptops don't deliver anywhere near the same sound quality or DJ controls as these units.  (www.denondj.com)
4 JBL Eon 15-G2 Speakers.  With 15" woofers and compression-driven tweeters, these have become the industry standard for clean, powerful sound.  (www.jblpro.com)
Amplification by Crown: JBL subcontracts with Crown Audio for the amplifier production for their internally-amplified ("powered") speakers.  More power yields higher quality sound at lower volumes.  Anyone who needs more power than this should run for president.  (www.crownaudio.com)

2 Mixers by Denon and Rane.  Mixers are a fairly simple item but are the heart of the system.  They have to be reliable, user-friendly and capable of producing clean sound.  Cheap ones just don't work.  (www.denondj.com, www.rane.com)

2 Shure SM-58 microphones: one corded, one wireless.  A wireless mic allows the toast (or toasts) to be done at the head table or anywhere else in the room.  (www.shure.com)

Options:

LCD Projectors: showing baby pictures? slideshow? videos?  We offer broadcast-quality 2100-lumen projectors that can be connected to laptops, cameras, DVD players, etc. See Options page.

Karaoke: Karaoke CD Graphics player and monitor with stand, mics and karaoke library. See Options page.

Sound-Activated Dance-Lighting: adds flashing color to the dance floor. Lighting is not appropriate for every wedding.  Most choose to omit it.  There is no charge either way.
